Henley Ladies 3s closed out their season in style with a composed 1–0 victory over South Berks 4s, rounding off a campaign in which second place was already secured but pride and momentum were still very much on the line. The Henley ladies started brightly, dominating possession from the first whistle and setting the tempo across the pitch. Their early pressure paid off after ten minutes when Jo Corbett struck a superb goal from the edge of the D, finishing confidently after a well‑worked build‑up.

Despite Henley’s control, South Berks’ goalkeeper delivered an outstanding performance, denying a string of chances from short corners expertly executed by Rosie Wilkinson, with sharp connections from Jo and Charlotte Irving. Open play saw dynamic attacking runs from Emily Matthews and Steph Rowe‑Elliot, stretching the South Berks defence but unable to add to the scoreline.

As the second half began, the hail arrived, making conditions bitterly cold, yet Henley’s defensive unit remained unflustered. Emily Mir, Fi Dunn, Ang Botha and Martha Peach showed calm authority, preventing South Berks from registering a single shot on target.

The final whistle confirmed a deserved 1–0 win and a fitting end to a strong, disciplined season for the Ladies 3s.
