Henley Ladies 3s were left frustrated after a dominant performance resulted in only a 1–1 draw at home against Reading Ladies 7s. The match began in ideal fashion for Henley, who came out firing and took the lead within the first five minutes. A sharp attacking move was finished clinically by goal‑scoring stalwart Jo Corbett, setting the tone for what looked like a promising afternoon.

From there, Henley controlled possession and tempo, creating wave after wave of attacking opportunities. Despite their relentless pressure, the final touch continually eluded them. Reading, under constant strain, defended with determination and discipline, absorbing Henley’s advances and clearing danger whenever possible.

Against the run of play, Reading found an equaliser just before halftime—a mis‑hit effort that somehow crept past the Henley goalkeeper, adding to the home side’s mounting frustration.

The second half saw Henley camped in the attacking 25, with strong contributions from Jules Tomlinson, Ingrid Johnson, and Emily Matthews. Over a dozen short corners were earned, yet none found the back of the goal as Reading’s defence held firm. Martha Peach, Fi Dunn and Emily Mir holding firm let almost nothing into the D so Reading had no options.
 
Although disappointed to take only a point, Henley can take pride in remaining unbeaten for a record 16 games. With three matches left, their determination to finish the season strong remains unwavering.
