Henley Ladies 3s entered their clash with Amersham and Chalfont 5s full of confidence after a strong run of form, and they showed their intent from the first whistle. Crisp passing from the back released Jo Corbett, who drove the ball firmly into the D, finding Ingrid Johnson for a clever deflection past the goalkeeper just nine minutes in. Henley dominated possession for the next 15 minutes, their pressure earning a well‑deserved short corner. Rosie Wilkinson injected cleanly, a rehearsed slip left found captain Charlotte Irving, and she struck powerfully into the far corner to make it 2–0 at half‑time.

The midfield trio of Steph Rowe‑Elliot, Maeve Moorcroft and Poppy Williams controlled the second half with composed passing and relentless support play. Their efforts paid off when Wilkinson outwitted the goalkeeper to extend the lead to 3–0. The excitement and strong lead saw Fi Dunn travel from the back into the attacking D with a potential promise of a goal that sadly didn't arise. A slight Henley over-confidence briefly disrupted Henley’s focus, allowing A&C a spell of pressure that they capitalised on to pull one back. Even so, Girl of the Game Emily Mir produced several vital defensive blocks, supported by calm Fi Dunn and Flo Hughes.
