With the EuroHockey Championships 2021 in full flow in May and June, Fred was awarded his 1st cap in the Welsh fixture vs Scotland on 22nd May.

Fred started his playing career for the colts at Henley and was the inaugural winner of the Grow Your Own Award for exceptional home grown talent. He has gone on to far bigger things since then but we can at least lay claim to being involved in his early playing career!

We also have more of the Newbold family talent coming through in Fred's younger brother and sister, Gracie and Ernie.
