Henley travelled to Eastcote on Saturday knowing that they were in course for their highest league finish and points tally since entering South Division 2 6 years ago.
Their opponents however needed a win to keep them above the drop zone and their determination to win was much more on evidence as the game started.
Henley with only 12 players and missing their Captain Rachel Herbert found themselves immediately on the back foot and it was only the superb work from defenders Kath Draycott and Ruth Nutt that kept the home side from creating any clear cut chances.
Henley finally settled into the game and started to mount a bit more of a threat, but neither side looked likely to break the deadlock and it was 0-0 at half time.
A stern talking too from Coach Browne seemed to inspire he Henley team and their performance after the break was much more like they were used to. Unfortunately it was the home side who brokerage deadlock first scoring from a well worked short corner.
Despite coming close on a number of occasions after that Henley did not look like scoring until a short corner won with eight minutes to go gave them a great opportunity to level things.
A well struck shut from Buckham saw veteran striker Hickman deflect the ball into the goal reverse stick to secure a we earned point.
