A hungry Henley team, a home game with home support greeted Milton Keynes. From the start Henley soaked up the pressure. Despite numerous Milton Keynes short corners, Henley defensive short corner team held strong and managed to keep the ball out of the goal. Taking the lead was Captain Georgie Metcalfe, who drove down the right, skilfully beating players, into the D and straight strike found the back in the goal. A sweet goal.
Into the second half, Henley kept their composure and made the Milton Keynes goal keeper work hard. A brilliantly worked short corner routine from Henley saw Kat Green strike the ball for Louisa England to deflect it past the keeper. 2-0 to Henley. A break of play saw Milton Keynes catch Henley on the break, overloading the defence and scoring a goal. However Henley weren't about to let this lead go and kept Milton Keynes at bay, working hard for a welcome and deserved win. Man of the match captain Georgie Metcalfe.
