Local rivals Sonning 6, who were also promoted at the end of last season from MBBO Division 10, came to Henley for a challenging game for 3 points only to suffer the same fate as the end of last season.
Henley, surprisingly, started well passing accurately and making excellent use of the width of the pitch. Huw Widery, in his last game for Henley scored shortly before half-time.
Henley continued in the same vain as the first half, passing well, but had a tough time defending. Sonning finally broke through to score an equaliser. Both sides wanted a win to consolidate their league position: game on!
There were some close calls in the Henley goal. Widery scored in 73rd minute to secure victory, but missed his hat-trick a few minutes later.
