Henley 3s got a feisty win in a hard fought game against local rivals Sonning. Before the match the Henley side knew they were going to have a tough match but that didn’t unsettle them as they won a short corner early into the first half. James Baker stepped up for it and converted into the bottom corner of the net. Henley continued to pile on the pressure and the game began to get very heated. Henley got another short corner and after a quick slip to Tim Barrass he slapped the ball into the net and got Henley 2-0 up by half time.
After the break even after some calming words from the officials, the game began to heat up once more. After staying strong, the Henley defence was finally penetrated. After a sterling run and shot, the ball beat Bobby Boydell and ended up in the back of the Henley net.
