Henley had a tough match against high flying Banbury this weekend. After 2 strong performances the Henley
side were hopeful that they could increase this run.  Straight into the first half, the Henley side realised what they were up against. The Banbury side broke away with pace and a sharp pass to the their forward on the post resulted in an easy tap in. At 1-0 down Henley
spirits didn't drop. A storming run from Nico Cheesman resulted in him executing an excellent flick from inside the D to level the scores. The Banbury side playing 3 up front row utilised their deadly attack yet again, with a good link of passes leading to another easy tap in for the man on the post. Shortly after, Banbury got their third. Another string of passes and final ball to the lone man standing by the post resulted in his and Banbury's third goal of the game. 

After half time, with memories of their comeback last week, the Henley side came out looking for some points. But yet again the devastating counter got the Banbury side another goal. Shortly after, Henley had something to cheer. Tim Herbert got a goal from a hard hit short corner. The Banbury side refused to let their grasp on the game slip, a short corner awarded gave Banbury their sixth goal of the match. Shortly after a lucky volley from the penalty spot deceived the goalkeeper before the man on the post got another goal. An opposition short put a nail in Henley’s coffin with a well worked routine which split open the tired Henley defence.
