A visit from league leaders Old Georgians provided a fast paced encounter at Jubilee Park.
Henley started the game well but went 1-0 down early on in the game. Shortly after, the in-form Chris Green smashed home an equaliser making it 1-1. Old Georgians’ clinical finishing in front of goal proved to be the difference in the first half, and Henley found themselves 5-1 down just before the break.
After a stern talking to from the coaching staff at half-time, Henley started the second half rejuvenated and looking for a come-back.
Henley put in a strong second half performance with an impressive individual performance from Johnny Taylor and created chances to reduce the deficit; but the score remained 5-1 at the final whistle. Henley are now third in the league and looking to get back to winning ways with another tough encounter against Oxford Hawks.
