This was a game of four quarters and Henley finished the first period 1-1, after Enzo Cheesman scored the opener. The second period saw an injury to Dino Cheesman leave a 10-man Henley fighting against the incoming tidal wave of Reading forwards and Meeks and the defence of Knight, Cheesman and Hood were unable to stop them. In the third period, with 11 players restored, Henley began to advance again and Fielder got another goal back for Henley.
The Cheesman brothers, playing in wide defensive positions were able to push forward and with Phillips and Carter managed to create advances down both flanks. McLoughlin scored a well deserved third goal, rewarding a fine morning in midfield. It was Knight who was voted man-of-the-match for a commanding performance at the back.
