Jubilee Park Astro serviced today; weed killer put around the edge of fence to stop grass growing into pitch area; take simple precautions

The Jubilee Park pitch was serviced today. This involved machine-brushing the pitch, which now looks like Lords, and applying a chemical weed killer to the edge of the fence to stop the grass growing through and under the fence.

The contractors have put up warning signs but players and spectators should still take simple measures to remove any chemical residue from their hands after they have visited the pitch between now and Monday 6th Oct.

Please observe the following:

1. Do not go near the perimeter fence
2. Wash hands thoroughly at the end of a game or after leaving the pitch area (because the ball may pick up some of the chemical)
3. Captains and coaches must tell both their own teams and any visiting opposition.

Sessions affected: Thursday night training (2nd Oct), Saturday matches (4th Oct), Colts' training on Sunday (5th Oct).
