The U10 Girls, U10 Boys and U12 Girls took part in the In2Hockey Regional Tournaments, with the U10 Girls reaching the final of their competition.

All three teams had reached the regional tournaments following the Oxfordshire In2Hockey tournaments a few weeks' earlier - the boys and U12 girls both reaching the finals and despite losing out to be crowned county champions they still qualified for the next stage. The U10 girls won the county cup and were looking to repeat the success at the regional stage, with the top two teams from each of the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire competitions.

The U10 Boys gave it everything at their Regional Tournament, hosted at Oxford Hawks. Topping their group with two wins and a draw, they then missed out on a place in the final with a loss against Oxford. They came fourth overall after loss to Winchester, who they’d drawn against in the group stage. A real team performance, especially with the boys taking turns in goal! Incredible achievement overall and very exciting for the future of boys’ hockey at Henley HC. Thank you to Robbie Mortimer and Mel Joyce for leading the team on the day.

Over in Wallingford, the U12 Girls had a good day at their Regional Tournament, also topping their group with two wins and a draw! Unfortunately lost in the semis but brilliant to take third place with a win against Romsey! Well done girls and coaches Ali and Nico Jean-Jean.

Last but not least, congratulations to the U10 Girls for coming RUNNERS-UP at their Regional Tournament, held at Reading HC! Well-deserved silver medals for this group of players who topped their group with two wins and a draw and winning their semi-final 1-0. A well-fought final match against Buckingham but despite putting on huge amounts of pressure, they couldn’t equalise and lost 1-0 in the final. The girls should be really proud and Coach Kat definitely is! Thank you to all the parents and supporters. Second best in the whole of Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire!
