Henley Hockey Club Subscriptions and Match Fees (Season - 2010/2011)
Unfortunately playing for Henley Hockey Club isn’t free. Nevertheless the club’s policy is that we should break even year on year – and therefore the fees we charge should just cover all the club’s costs.
We charge an annual subscription and a match fee. Roughly speaking the subscription covers affiliation fees to England Hockey, league fees, costs of coaching, and clubhouse rental and maintenance costs. By paying your subscription you also are covered by the club’s civil liability insurance (please note, however, that you will need to arrange your own personal injury insurance). The match fee primarily covers pitch hire and match teas.
It is essential that every member of Henley Hockey Club, whether you are a player, occasional player, social member or Vice-President, completes a Membership Form. It is vital not only for managing your membership but also so that it can help us plan for the future. We are also required by England Hockey to hold and be aware of the different demographics of the club.

Payment Information
- Subscriptions can be made via online transfer; please ensure you leave your name as the reference. Please contact the Treasurer for bank details.
- Subscriptions may also be made by cash or cheque (made payable to Henley Hockey Club) via your captain.
- Match fees must be paid on the day that the game is played and given to your captain or whoever is designated to collect fees for that team.
Additional Notes
- An occasional player is someone who will only play between one and five games for the club during the whole season. If they play any more than five games they will be required to pay the remainder of the full sub.
- HHC is a family club and we want to encourage this however we recognise the ever-increasing cost of having multiple members of the same family playing hockey and we therefore offer a family discount. The first two subs in your family will be paid at the full price then you will pay only 50% of the original sub of the third family member and 25% for subsequent members. In order to qualify, at least one of the family members must be U18 and all the members must be living at the same address.
- Members who join/start playing after 1st November will pay pro-rata subs – the Treasurer will advise amount due.
- Where two games have been played in the same weekend, the second match fee is half the price of the first.
