The club has organised a Level 1 umpiring course at HHC on Sunday 27th September - sign up today!

The club relies on a very small pool of kind-hearted individuals to fulfil umpiring commitments. We would like that pool to be bigger!

To this end, the club has organised a Level 1 course to be held at HHC on Sunday 27th September - classroom in the morning, on the pitch in the afternoon. At the end of the day you will have level 1 accreditation.

We need a minimum of 14 to sign up for the course by the 23rd September.

Who is it for?
Pretty much anybody with an interest in hockey. You do not need to be a playing member - parents, partners, anyone that might fancy supporting or getting involved. You do not need prior experience of umpiring (although an online rules test will need to be completed beforehand). You will even get some essential 'goodies', including a whistle and cards!

Young umpires are also accepted (with parents permission): the minimum age is 14! A recognised sports qualification looks very good on a university application or CV, so get qualified. It has never been easier.

What you need to do
You must sign up and pay on the England Hockey website HERE. As soon as you have done this, let Rachel know by email.

What the club will do for you
The club will then reimburse members the £50 course fee straightaway, on the understanding that you umpire a minimum of three games in the season. Your match fee will also be waived on the day that you umpire.

Do your bit! Sign up today by clicking here and looking for the course at Henley HC
