Remember last season? That goal you scored which mysteriously found its way through the back of the net and was probably disallowed? We're delighted to say that this particular problem has now been solved.

We have had the goals repaired and the nets replaced. To avoid the pain and expense of doing this again, to keep the goals safe and to maintain them at competition standard, can we please observe these two basic rules:

1. DO NOT SIT ON THE BACKBOARDS AT HALF-TIME (or any other time) - please use the dug-outs or stand up

2. DO NOT KICK FOOTBALLS/RUGBY BALLS INTO THE GOALS (and remind others you see doing this) - the goals are designed only for hockey

We hope you will once again enjoy the sight of the net ballooning (or not, if you happen to be Roy Cox) for many seasons to come.
